How to go to this park?

1. Ride Marmaray (like LRT/KTM in Malaysia)

2. Walk away towards left side of road from the station for 700m.

Otw to go to the park, we walked through this walking area. Maaşallah! 

Alhamdulillah, after 10-15 minutes... we arrived at the park. 

Flowers at this peaceful park.

After 30-40 minutes exploring this park, we continued our journey towards Sultanahmet Square.

We take our brunch at this mini stall ByBeyaz and Alhamdulillah the food so delicious. Satisfied and affordable!

Ilham and me tried one of Turkish Tea which is Apple Tea and the taste soo nice, I love it! Alhamdulillah!

The food served like this. I think this is like mix of hamburger and burger in Malaysia😆 This food is like filled with chicken, onion, several type of vegetable (maybe salad and the siblings haha), and ekmek (bread). 

The price of the ekmek is only cost 5₺ and for Apple Tea is 3₺. Alhamdulillah for the halal food.

MyEXPI: List to go in Istanbul

Tittle: List to go in Istanbul, Turkey

Below is the place that we already visited Alhamdulillah. P/s: I will explain about the places more details in other entries. 

1. Üsküdar: Üsküdar, once known as Scutari, is a large district on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus in metropolitan Istanbul. We can go to Uskudar by Metro line. 


Entrance fee: Free but to buy, ride any transport, or shopping here, we have to pay lah like usual, heheh!

2. Ümraniye: The town that provided essensial items for people around. This town has bank like Ziraat Bankasi, Metro line (like LRT in Malaysia), Maya Lokanta (food restaurant), shopping centre, cosmetics and daily bath needs like Gratis (like Guardian in Malaysia) and also have Watson (the best is Watson card registered in Turkish; also can be used here in Turkish).

Entrance fee: Free but to buy, ride any transport, or shopping here, we have to pay lah like usual, heheh!

3. Çamlıca tepesi: This beautiful place is the highest point in Istanbul; meaning there will no places in Istanbul has higher altitude than this place. It is suitable for people to hang out and picnic with friends and family. The scenary is sooo cool and amazing, masya Allah! 

Entrance fee: Free but I suggest to bring any food so that we can enjoy the view while eating something! It will be perfect combination, insha Allah!

4. Eyub: This is the place of grave. Lots of grave over there! and the vital thing is the tomb of Ayyub al Ansari located here. Alhamdulillah, we got the opportunity to visit the tomb Alhamdulillah!

• Sultan Eyub mosque (free)


• ride Teleferik: It is like cable car in Malaysia. (Info: to ride this, we have to use Istanbulkart.
• Halic: we can ride ferry along it from Uskudar to EyubSultan station. (Info: to ride this, we have to use Istanbulkart.)

5. Sultanahmet: this is tourism zone! Why I say like that? because so travel and tourist-friendly which means we, as travelers can go to the historical and wonderful places easily around this place.

• Gulhane park: Park for public have rest and picnic. *free entrance Alhamdulillah!
• Aya sofia: You should google and read the historical history here! Subhanallah so interesting! *unfortunately, we have to pay entrance fee for enter this museum, I think 40tl for public but if you manage to have museum card especially students; the entrance free will be more cheaper.
• Sultanahmed: this is we called Blue Mosque, I think because it has blue peaceful look from far.
• Hippodrome: this just a tall pillar but also has it,s own history. I think you should google to explore the history. *free entrance Alhamdulillah!
• Basiliça müzesi: a museum with it's own history which is related to Byzantine and the piping system. *pay 20tl with or without student museum card
• küçük aya sofia (mini Aya Sofia): When I and Ilham was there... the masjid was so silent from crowded compared to other places we have visited. I thins because it is quiet far; meaning we have to walk away from the other places like blue Mosque, Basilica museum, Aya Sofia about 750m. *free entrance Alhamdulillah!
• Sokullo mehmet paşa camı (one of the masjid in Istanbul which nearby about 200m from mini Aya Sofia). *free entrance Alhamdulillah!

6. Eminonu:

• Suleymaniye mosque *free entrance
• Eminonu market *free but to buy, of course you have to spend money
• Spice bazar. Info: it is different place and not same like Grand bazar. It is a place full with shops that selling spices, Turkish delight, shawl, sejada, and some souvenirs. *free but to buy, of course you have to spend money
• Rustem Paşa çami *free entrance Alhamdulillah!
• Yeni çamii *free entrance Alhamdulillah!

7. Topkapı:

• Panorama müzesi: It is a museum that illustrates the situation of the war in Constantinople. Masya Allah, we can feel the situation with the help of the sound effect, art of Panorama from the talented creater, the antique items around there, and with the recorded explaination from the audio MP3. *Show any prove that you are student and you will get student price. Alhamdulillah we show our one of the prove that we are studying here in Turkey by showing an offer letter of exchange student, and we got student price which is we have to pay only 3tl for entrance. 
• masjid near Panorama. From the museum, we walked about 250m far to the mosque for Asr prayer.
• Grand bazar: we bought some souvenirs inside it. Suggestion from Kak Teh: to not buy anything from the bazar because the price is more expensive rather than you buy from outside the bazar. 
• mosque nearby Hafiz Mustafa restaurant: we went to the mosque for Maghrib prayer.
• Hafiz Mustafa restaurant: Kak Teh told us that this restaurant is famous of various Turkish delight and we have to try (but the price is high). Unfortunately, we have no budget to buy. Imagine that one Baklava (one of Turkish delight) is price about 10-12tl. But outside (meaning at the stall outside the restaurants and bazar), we can get cheaper price which is 4tl only.  

8. Galata:

• Galata Tower: the tower full with history, you can google the history.
• Galata bridge: bridge near Galata tower. *free entrance
• Taksim square: if you go there, you will see historical monument here. *free entrance because it is located at open place. 
• Istiqlal Avenue: place that suitable for those who love shopping and window shopping. There will be more than 10 branded outlet over there like H&M,  LC Waikiki (the famous branded outlet in Turkey), Dogo, Levis, Nike and many more. *free but to buy, of course you have to spend money

11. Dolmabahce palace: Basically, it is a luxury and modern palace. We cannot take photo inside it. In October 2018, we have to pay 20TL (after showing student certificate) to enter this palace.

12. Topkapi palace: We visited this old empire of old Istanbul by using Museum Student card. Before moving to Dolmabahce area (Kabatas), the palace was located nearby Aya Sofya which is in Topkapi palace.

13. Aya Sofia: We visited and passed by using student museum card (normal person, they have to pay 60TL for entry price.

14. Ortakoy mosque: From Dolmabahce palace, we took bus about 15-20 minutes to go to Ortakoy Mosque (it's free of course). Around the mosque, you can try Kumpir and Waffle. My friends bought an tried to eat Kumpir for 20 lira each.

MyIstanbul2018: Ümraniye Istanbul

Dari rumah sewa, kami berjalan kaki ke bandar kecil ini. Lebih kurang 20-30 minit.

Sewaktu membeli Istanbulkart. Untuk pengetahuan, Istanbulkart boleh dibeli dari mesin ini atau di booth-booth berdekatan. (Lebih kurang macam mesin LRT laa).

Suasana di Ümraniye.

Di kedai gambar, Mutlu Fotoğraf, Ümraniye Istanbul. Untuk gambar saiz passport berserta latar putih, asalnya berharga 30tl untuk 6 keping. (Rasanya diorang saja scam). Lepas bargain harga dengan cakap Öğrenci indirimi (student discount), pekedai tu kasi harga 20tl untuk 6 keping gambar passport berlatar warna putih. 

P/s: untuk melakukan jual beli di Türkiye, kita perlu menawarkan harga kalau tak... takdapat murah ataupun kena tipu macamtu je.

Info: setiap kawasan di Turki, akan ada masjid yang mana pusat untuk melakukan pelbagai aktiviti. 

Suasana pertukaran musim panas ke musim luruh, yang aman dan tenang.

Antara bank di Türkiye.

Untuk menghilangkan rasa lapar, kami singgah di restoran Maya Lokanta.

P/s: siapa orang Malaysia yang akan datang ke Turki; yang suka sambal atau sos cili... sila bawa dari rumah ya sebab di Turki jarang jual sos cili. Tapi kalau mayonis, chili flakes, cheese, ketchup memang available di Turki.

Nasi mereka tak sama macam di Malaysia, nasi di Turki macam butter rice. 

Pinggan bahagian kanan ialah kebab; ada meat, capsicum, smashed potato with cheese, kacang dal.

Harga dua pinggan ni adalah 15tl. 

Masjid yang kami singgah untuk solat Zohor.

MyEXPI: Ümraniye to Otogar (main bus station)

Tajuk: Beli insurans dan tiket bus

Masa menaip: 1642 hours (Istanbul time)

Kawasan Ümraniye, Istanbul Türkiye.

Ilham dan Ümraniye, hehe!

Beli insurans: Kami teman pelajar UKM-Marmara University untuk buat sigorta (insurans) yang berharga 180tl sahaja selepas dapat indirim (diskaun) dari harga biasa 200tl.


Kedai yang kami singgah untuk brunch! Dan alhamdulillah Kak Teh belanja. 

Info: kedai di sini tiada singki untuk basuh tangan macam di Malaysia. Tapi mereka akan sediakan tisu basah sebagai ganti untuk bersihkan tangan. Dan of course sos cili memang tidak disediakan (dalam makanan pun takde tau). 

Before: Mereka akan bagi plain döner tanpa sos dan mayonis macam ni je. 

After: Aku tambah sos cili yang dibawa dari Malaysia dan mayonis yang disediakan. (Sebab saya peminat sambal dan sos cili, jadi kena juga bawa bekal hehe).

Lepas makan, kami menuju je Metro. (P/s: Metro ni macam KTM atau LRT laa kalau di Malaysia.)

Beli tiket bus Istanbul to Karabük: Kami gerak dari stesen Çarşı menuju ke Üsküdar sebagai stesen pertukaran ke Marmaray. 

Peta lokasi yang lebih kurang je macam peta LRT/KTM di Malaysia.

Sampai je stesen bus utama di Otogar, terus survey harga syarikat bus mana yang okay. Kalau macam kami, kami survey harga syarikat bus Kâmilkoç (79tl), Metro (70tl lepas diskaun dari 80tl), Ulusoy (60tl), dan Efe tur (65tl). 

Kami decide untuk beli tiket bus Kamilkoc macam encik Kerim Tanis (coordinator Karabuk University) cadangkan.

Apa yang perlu buat untuk beli tiket bus?

1. Duit untuk harga barang yang ditetapkan

2. Passport

3. Tangan untuk sign di tiket bus.

Alhamdulillah! Kami dah beli tiket bus Istanbul ke Karabük.

Jadi, dah boleh pulang menuju ke rumah sewa.

Ilham tersilap rakam video pula haha, kan dah tertidur kat tengah-tengah jalan ni.

Ni dah dalam perjalanan balik di Üsküdar menuju ke Abdipaşa. Sewaktu menunggu bus no. 11Y di Üsküdar.

Ni rujukan yang lebih lengkap la (walaupun takberapa lengkap). Thanks kak Teh tolong tunjukkan jalan.

Semasa menunggu bus di Üsküdar untuk menuju ke Abdipaşa. Waktu ni hujan, nasib baik bawa payung. Alhamdulillah!

Lepas turun bus, kami jalan kaki menuju ke rumah sewa yang terletak di Ferah Mah. Sesat jugalah nak cari jalan balik sebab first timer kan, hahah! Tapi, cara nak jumpa jalan balik adalah first jangan panik! Kemudian, cuba cari tempat yang familiar; maksudnya cari landmark yang biasa atau jalan kita pernah lalu, inshaa Allah jumpa jalan pulang. 

Takpe, setiap yang berlaku pasti ada hikmah dan hikmah daripada sesat jalan adalah kita boleh jalan-jalan. Kalau tak sesat, mesti kita taklalu jalan tu kan hehe! Jadi, alhamdulillah☺️

MyEXPI: Atatürk Airport Istanbul to Çamlıca Istanbul

Tajuk: Journey from Atatürk Airport to Çamlica Istanbul

Masa dalam flight, akan ada map juga selain music, movies, songs. Jadi, bolehlah rujuk map untuk pengetahuan lebih.

Apa perlu buat bila tiba di Atatürk Airport, Istanbul Türkiye?

1. Keluar sahaja dari flight, terus menuju ke Pasaport Kontrol (yang ada tulis other nationalities) untuk tujuan cop passport di kaunter oleh petugas yang bertugas. Kita kena cepat beratur sebab terlalu ramai (hampir 45 minit beratur untuk ni sahaja).

2. Lepas je dapat cop passport dari petugas yang bertugas, kita akan scan beg dan diri macam biasa.

3. Kemudian, terus ke depan dan cari elektronik board untuk check baggage belts untuk flight kita (kalau macam kami, flight SV257 di baggage belts 4).

4. Tunggu bagasi macam biasa. Kalau dah jumpa dan ambil bagasi, boleh terus ke exit.

Alhamdulillah, Allah mudahkan urusan kami. Sebaik je kami keluar, kak Teh aka orang Malaysia yang tinggal di Turki datang tolong kami. Beliau bantu dan teman kami dari Airport ke rumah sewa di Çamlica yang terletak di bahagian Asia Eropah.

Ni di stesen Metro untuk naik Metro dari Airport ke stesen hujung (takingat nama apa).

Btw, kita boleh dapatkan diskaun melalui pembelian Istanbul Kart di mesin ini atau di booth. (P/s: lebih baik dapatkan di mesin kerana lebih dipercayai). Istanbul Kart berharga 6TL dan biasanya kami topup 14TL. Jadi, jumlah bayaran 20TL untuk Istanbul Kart. Untuk pengetahuan, kita boleh guna kad ni untuk pengangkutan awam di Istanbul ini.

Ni pula, mesin di stesen Marmaray.


Info: kalau macam di Malaysia, kita akan berdiri di bahagian kiri untuk bagi laluan orang yang nak cepat. Tapi di Turki, kita akan berdiri di bahagian kanan.

Lepas naik Marmaray, kami naik teksi untuk ke rumah sewa di Çamlica. 

Info: Tempat duduk pemandu adalah berbeza dengan Malaysia. Kalau di Malaysia, bahagian kanan manakala di Turki, tempat duduk pemandu di bahagian Kiri.

Pengalaman naik teksi di Turki: uishh, rasa nak tercabut jantung😂 sebab mereka bawa tak kesah orang dah! Pakai tekan je minyak lepastu, hon. Memang riuh rendah jalan raya di Turki yang memang lain dengan suasana jalan raya di Malaysia walaupun jem.
