SOCIAL-STUDY , HISTORY 📚

DEFINITION 📒
-Literal : from Greek word _Historia_ means inquiry /research , some Arabic words : tarikh,akhbar,sirah,etc

-Technical :
1.History is a discipline which is imbued with the spirit of inquiry and research and rigorous study in the past
2.ASA BRIGGS - Every aspects of human activities starting from the beginning of the recorded time up to what can be read in today's newspaper
3.EDWARD HALLET CARR - The result of the interaction between the historian and his facts, a perpetual dialogue between the present and the pass.

SUBJECT MATTER OF HISTORY 🔌
-Human beings and their life
-Human activities
-Human experiences in the past to the present days.

HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVES 🚦

"Quranic 🕌 vs  Western⛪"

-In Islam, history is neither fiction nor fable but its subject matter is a living reality.
-The Quran has the greatest moral values because it is a Book of Wisdom and Guidance
-In Western, the disciples of the Christ altered the biblical teachings and mixed fact and fiction.

HISTORIOGRAPHY 🏚

-examines the writing of history and the use of historical methods, drawing upon such elements as authorship,sourcing,interpretation,style,bias and audience.

HOW IS HISTORY WRITTEN ? 📝

1.Look for things that survived from the past,wherever they can be found.
2.Make sure that these remnants/relics are genuine artifacts.
3.Give meaning to these remnants of the past by interpreting them.
